Department Profile:
The Department of Statistics and Computer Applications was established in Sri Mekapati Goutham Reddy Agricultural College, Udayagiri, SPSR Nellore District in the year 2022. The department is offering undergraduate (UG) courses for the students enrolled in this college.
In the UG programme, the department offers three courses, namely Elementary Mathematics in the First year, Statistical Methods in the Second year and Agricultural Informatics in the Third year of B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture.
As per the VI Dean’s recommendations from the academic year 2024-25 onwards, the department offers three courses: Introductory Mathematics in the First year, Agricultural Informatics and Artificial Intelligence in the Second year, and Basic and Applied Agricultural Statistics in the Third year of the B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture program.
The main object of this department is to enhance knowledge and develop skills in the field of Agriculture by applying the methods and tools of Mathematics, Statistics and Computers.
