OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES OF SC/ST CELL

  1. To safeguard the rights and interests of SC/ST students and employees by ensuring a discrimination-free academic and work environment.
  2. To address and resolve grievances related to caste-based discrimination, harassment, or denial of rights in a fair and timely manner.
  3. To create awareness about constitutional provisions, government welfare schemes, scholarships, and institutional support available for SC/ST students.
  4. To promote equal opportunities in academic, co-curricular, extracurricular, and placement activities, fostering inclusive growth and development.
  5. To encourage academic excellence and overall development through counselling, mentoring, guidance, and capacity-building programmes.
  6. To ensure effective implementation of Government, UGC, and institutional policies relating to the welfare, protection, and empowerment of SC/ST students and staff.
